I help companies build design systems that engineering actually ships — token architecture, scalable components, and the governance that keeps design and code moving together. Most recently I led AOL's design system rebuild at Yahoo, cutting delivery time by over 50% across a platform serving 30M+ monthly users. Before that: Verizon's first retail design system (0→1, rolled out nationwide) and Carta's system rebrand. These days I'm especially focused on design infrastructure for AI-enabled products and human-in-the-loop workflows.
I run my own independent design practice, with design systems consulting at the core. I also work across web design, campaigns, and pitch & presentation design — including long-running campaign work with WRTHY that's earned a Webby Award and Fast Company's World Changing Ideas recognition.
As for how I got here: I started as a Flash developer in the early 2000s, went back to school for my BFA at RISD, and grew into a systems-obsessed product designer. When I'm not working, I love playing VR games, discussing conspiracy theories, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen — especially Korean food and any kind of pasta.
